I’m the kind of person that like to buy a lot of magazines from all different places, so far I have a collection NME, Q , Mojo, Mojo Indie, Uncut, Record Collector, and Clash, all relating around music. Since I have a lack of funds because of having no job and Graphics and Photography costing me a fair bit, I haven’t been able to able to buy any magazines in a while, it’s rather painful.
While looking at magazines, this one captures my instantly since it has Buddy Holly, my icon, on the cover. I had to buy it! It’s the second issue, of the brand new magazine Vintage Rock, and as the name implies, it covers the music of the 50s and early 60s. It’s all laid out pretty well, in a stlye of what magazines would have most probably looked like if they had access to the tools that we have now, y’know.
If you’re in the UK, you should be able to find it in WH Smiths, but if your outside from here, you can order it and take a look inside on Vintage Rock’s website. Definitely worthwhile if you’re a fan of the music that surged through those wonderful years, the Buddy Holly article is fantastic!
